The has been some great progress in the years 2005 and 2008 in improving maternal health. The deliveries assisted by birth attendants were increased from 41% to 58%. The number of women who receive antenatal care increased from 52% to 81%. The women who deliver babies by Caesarean Section increased from 1.18% to 1.91%. All of these numbers were improved between the years of 2005-2008. More and more children are getting delivered peacefully and more mothers are getting taken care of properly. With all of these successes and progress, Cambodia will have a lot of smiling mothers and happy children.
